Terahertz International Conference
The 1st Terahertz International Conference & Shenzhen International Conference on Advanced Science and Technology(SICAST) is a bi-year series conference which reflects the highest research level of Terahertz technology in China, it will be held in Shenzhen permanently. SITTI will serve as a permanent body for the International Conference.All the international commissioners of the conference are K .J. Button prize-winners. All the domestic commissioners are academicians from Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering.
In the four-day conference, the attention has been focused on the science and technology and the latest research achievements in the Terahertz field. The well-known scientists in the THz field from the US, Germany, Japan, Finland, Australia, China, etc. and the representatives from enterprises have gatheredtogether to discuss the development of terahertz science and technology in the future and its potential application in economic and social development. There are 14 invited talks given by famous scientistsand oral presentations given by 13 Chinese outstanding young scientists in the Terahertz field.
Mr. Ma Xingrui ,Deputy Secretary of Guangdong, Secretary of Shenzhen, met Academician Prof. Liu Shenggang, as the representative for domestic and oversea THz experts and scholars, having discussions on how to carry out more multi-level international communication and cooperation ushered by the science and technology of terahertz, positively promote the conversion of the technology achievements and the applications of R&D, widely accelerate the industrialization of terahertz technology so as to support Shenzhen and its electronic information industry to have a greater development.
